Saul Williams - Coded Language
Whereas, breakbeats have been the missing link connecting the diasporic
Community to it's drum woven past.
Whereas the quantised drum has allowed the whirling mathematicians to calculate the ever changing distance between rock and stardom.
Whereas the velocity of the spinning vinyl, cross-faded, spun backwards, and Re-released at the same given moment of recorded history, yet at a different moment in time's continuum has allowed history to catch up with the present.

com'è che questo crogiuolo remix che come al solito segue l'album dei nin è molto meglio dell'originale? mistero. o più semplicemente, l'intelligenza di affidare materia prima nobile ma senz'anima a talented pros: STEPHEN MORRIS, BILL LASWELL, KRONOS QUARTET, SAUL WILLIAMS, OLOF DREIJER, THE FAINT ecc.
A parte saul williams che rende la pariglia, i miei preferiti remix sono di the warning e me, i'm not. 4
esiste anche un sito che invita ciascuno di noi a remixare. e uno in cui scaricare (gratis/5 $) l'ultimo album strumentale.

La rabbia è rimasta - per il terzo albun meno verboso dei precedenti, scaricato direttamente dal sito di Saul Williams a 5 dollari (o se si preferisce gratuitamente) è della partita anche l'amico (?) trent reznor per la produzione (e molto di più, dato il sound gotico) e alan moulder per il missaggio. troppo scarno in alcuni punti (dove prevale il rap di saul), iperstratificato in altri (in cui dominano le tipiche architetture di chitarre e tastiere postatomiche di reznor), per me molto godibile. meno godibile è tentare di seguire i testi nel libretto allegato, meglio cercarle su internet. d'altronde è lì che questo albusn (?) è nato. 3,5

It is my greatest honor to present to you The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of NiggyTardust!, my new album produced by Trent Reznor and mixed by Alan Moulder. The wall of sound that we've created is tagged with such graffiti that a passerby would seek out doors and ways to ENTER. Once inside a world defined by dreams come true they'd find aligned with the simplest act of sharing what we treasure. Most people aren't aware of the world of art and commerce where exploitation strips each artist down to nigger. Each label, like apartheid, multiplies us by our divide and whips us 'til we conform to lesser figures. What falls between the cracks is a pile of records stacked to the heights of talents hidden from the sun. Yet the energy they put into popularizing smut makes a star of a shiny polished gun. The ballot or the bullet for Mohawk or the mullet is a choice between new times and dying days. And the only way to choose is to jump ship from old truths and trust dolphins as we swim through changing ways. The ways of middlemen proves to be just a passing trend.
