Ousmane Tanor Dieng, First Secretary of the Senegalese Socialist party and candidate to Presidential election greets supporters upon arriving for his first campaign meeting in Louga, 04 February 2007. Campaigning for the presidential election in Senegal began 04 February with the 80-year-old incumbent looking for another five-year term in charge of one of Africa's most stable democracies. President Abdoulaye Wade launched his reelection bid in front of an audience of tens of thousands with a pledge to act as a unifying force in his country. His Socialist Party challenger Ousmane Tanor Dieng attacked Wade over the problems of agriculture and agreements on immigration with France and Spain aimed at stemming illegal immigration.
